The Canon PowerShot SD780IS was introduced to the US market early March 2009 and has many great features. It is the slimmest digital ELPH Canon has produced so far but its small body packs a real punch. The term ‘ELPH’, before you ask, is a combination of the word ‘elf’ (for a camera that is small and magical) and the word ‘photograph.’ Besides being memorable marketing, the use of a non-standard spelling of ‘elf’ makes it a defensible trademark.

As of this month, according to DigitalCameraReview.com, the Canon Powershot SX200 IS tops the list as the #1 most popular camera in its class. This camera was not even in the top 10 prior to taking the top spot. An amazing leap, don’t you think? Why?
The Samsung UE40B7000 is a pleasure to review, being one of the top performers in the mid-range class of LCDs. It has the standard black casing common to all electronics, and this one has a platinum black color, leaving it slightly glossier. The stem is clear, giving it a more contemporary look, and setting it slightly apart from others on the market. It is an attractive set, even following the trends currently on the market.

FYI - this video was 599.9 MB out of the camera (.mov format), with a run time of 7 minutes 51 seconds. A movie that size took about 2.5 hours to upload to Youtube (yikes!). If you are interested in seeing pictures from this camera I will be posting them at this link: fakeconomy.com I just got the Canon S90 PowerShot and I wanted to show you the camera since there hasn’t been a lot of in-depth videos posted about the features. The S90 is basically a scaled down version of the G11 Canon’s - an Elph with full manual controls. The camera is built almost completely out of metal and has a sturdy build quality to it. The front of the camera has a manual control dial which can be fully customized to control anything from apeture to exposure compensation. The LCD is pretty impressive too, fairly wide for a camera with excellent resolutions, the camera also has image stabilization and a f2.0 lens with a 28mm-105mm focal range.
