I bought the camera mainly because of its size and the ability to shoot HD video. I upgraded from a Sony DSC-P8, which was pretty good picture of the day, but awful low light shots and shutter lag was ridiculously long. I also could not put the camera in my pocket, because it was so thick. This camera is an improvement in all these categories. I understand the Sony DSC-P8 camera is older, and most new cameras are better.

First test (low light in the evening) with the Canon SD780 IS shooting in 720p high definition. Edited using iMovie. MUSIC UPDATE: The name of the music track is Pastel Slide Long. It is one of the sounds that comes with Apple iLife 06 in the Jingles sound folder.

I love this camera! It takes beautiful pictures. I highly recommend it. But be prepared to read the manual. What can this camera is amazing! I still have yet to learn what all the buttons. But then, I'm not so technologically savvy.
