Bought this for my husband and he is very similar. E 'was more than 5 years ago we bought a camera and how everything has changed so much! This camera seems much more intuitive to use than our old digital camera. The picture quality looks very good. If I give everything a negative - was the small "door" where the battery / memory card will be. It 'a little' thin-side and a little 'awkward to use. I think the price is very, rapid dispatch of Amazon was appreciated.
