This cam takes amazing pics. I bought this camera to take with me to travel abroad. I ordered early enough so I could get and to make the trip. I took some great pictures of my dogs, the beach and some family photos and all that was beautiful! Given the trip I knew that Id better battery backup when I was taking pictures every day. Battery life is good, and I would probably be ok with only 1 battery on a daily basis. If your normal, everyday photos show they are happy with this camera. I have many digital cameras over the years and are experienced with them. Most people would be satisfied with this camera. The only reason I gave 3 of 5 is as follows. I went to a concert, and when dusk began to get the photos started a difficult time concentrating. When it was dark it was terrible. Even the lights of the stage, almost did not get pictures after the sunset. I thought that fashion ISCN iAuto and lighting or low lighting of the stage would not be a problem. I took some video and was immediately bothered by the inability to zoom while recording video was. Once I started recording I noticed that the battery was removed immediately. I was glad that my other Sony batteries brought with me. I have almost 5 minutes the video output of 3 batteries I had with me. disappointing. I will probably sell this camera and wait for a new series of Sony or try a different model. I love Sony and want to stick with them, and I have a sony camera with a large high zoom.
